CHRISSSTMAAASSS!!!

It's that time of year, folks!! The snow, the lights, the presents, the crazy stores, the ohmigod-if-you-don't-sit-still-and-be-quiet-I'm-calling-Santa-and-you'll-get-nothing parental threats to children hopped up on FAR too much sugar, and foods that are begging to be eaten, just so they can go straight to your hips. I love the holiday season!!

Our tree is up (has been since the middle of Novemeber), & our garland is hung. I still have not figured out a WORKING solution for our stockings. Last year, it was pushpins in the window sill, LOL. Since we just repainted our entire house in October, including sills, that won't be happening this year! I wish we had a fireplace some days!

Sadly, I am nowhere NEAR done Christmas shopping. I have our niece, Savannah, & our nephew, Sloan, almost done, I will just buy them 1 more thing each (Sloan a train set for sure, no clue for Savvy). G is probably done, we don't normally buy each other tons of Christmas gifts. Our parents? Not started. Siblings? Not started, & they all may get nothing. Oh, I lied. My sisters are getting card sets I made for them. Everyone else? No clue.

The boys? Yikes. I got Ry one thing (a Lego set), & they each have 1 stocking stuffer. Ouch. I might go to a local store in town & get their hockey jackets I forgot to order (Mother of the Year, right here). My mother-in-law did buy them their Christmas jammies for Christmas Eve. So that's done (I'm a little choked, that is MY tradition!). I need to find them a game for Christmas Eve too. I was going to get them Battleship, but G got that for his birthday. Their big gift will be MP3 Players this year. But, it's a "techie" thing I'm leaving to G to research & get. I'll just pick the colors :D He also wants to buy his gift to the boys (every year, he picks out 1 thing all by himself for them). He is talking Rock Band. We'll probably get them some games for the Wii, their DS/PSP & I'll grab A a Lego set. Then puzzles, & some TechDeck ramps & stuff.

Stocking stuffers will be easy. TechDecks, toothbrush, little candies, etc. Ry wants Army guys, so I'll toss some into each as well. I think I might make them each a CD (redundant, since they are getting MP3 Players, but whatever). I'll probably do up a good stocking for G too. Maybe a Wii game, some scratchies, little tool-y type things.

Now. WHERE are we having Christmas this year?? Good question! We still have no idea. G's parents are going to Provost this year (G's little brother lives there). T & M are SUPPOSED to come here, but she's "too pregnant" (due in Feb) & "too high risk" to travel. So, I guess everyone is going to them? We were finally invited to Provost last week, but we're not sure. We had sort of made plans to celebrate with friends. Christmas Eve here at our house, Christmas morning to ourselves, then the afternoon at her house. We'll see!!!

And now, I'm off to clean my house!! And make biscuits to go with the stew I made for this perfectly snowy day!!
