Blah. I hate cleaning. I think I forgot to mention that yesterday LOL. I keep coming back & checking out sporcle.com, which is this crazy addicting site FILLED with quizzes! And the worst part? They update it everyday! So I'm always checking to see they have added more quizzes!
I did get a bit done yesterday. The entrance is done, laundry is done, etc. I finally ran the dishwasher just now, so that is going, supper is started. I got the bathroom down here cleaned, and I'm heading upstairs when I'm done blogging to clean the one up there. I need to vacuum today still. Ry is watching "his shows", so I can't until they are over (what a kid).
I have to pick Anson up in an hour, and then I'm going to get the stuff for pasta salad, and the boys need rubber boots. Oh! And speaking of pasta salad, I have been updating my recipe blog for my sisters. Feel free to check that out too!
Supper last night was yum! I got steak Fratzolaki, with fries. YUMMY! Anson loved his fish & chips (yuck!), Ryden stuck with his cheese burger. Garth got Mediterrian Chicken, with crab & shrimp. Something crunched. Double yuck. He wasn't too impressed. Garth's parents, grandma, aunt & uncle all came & it was really nice!
Tonight, we are having Italian Steak Sandwiches & pasta salad (both are on my recipe blog), then my neighbour & I are taking the 4 kids for a walk and to get a treat. Okay. I REALLY need to go & get that bathroom cleaned!! Later Days!
Welcome to my life as a SAHM of 2 boys. Things may be quick & exciting, or they may be slow. Depends on the day & the boys! There will be TONS of stories about my boys. And, once I figure it out, pictures. So, enjoy reading!!

An Anniversary To Do List
Today I am catching up on laundry (load #4 is the washer now, did I mention how far behind I was??). I also want to deep clean the downstairs in preparation of Easter decorating! So this is my deep cleaning list (so I can come back the next time I deep clean to see what I did/need to do).
~ Vaccum entrance (stupid wood floor is all cracked & chiped & gross)
~ Move couches & vaccum under those
~ Borrow Reanna's steam cleaner!!!
~ Orange Glow all the wood things
~ Do a quick reorg/clean up of scrap things
~ Clean off computer desk/file things that need to be filed
~ Dust
~ Wash windows
~ Clean off the hutch yet again (we seriously need to STOP tossing crap on there!!!)
~ Clean oven
~ Clean out cupboards (man do I hate not having cupboard doors! That is a project for me this spring I think).
I think that's it. I also want to find a pretty tablecoth/runner for the kitchen table. That thing is SO beat up & only 7 years old. All of the chairs are broken, so we have 7 ugly, mismatched chairs (4 are silver with ripped up green vinyl seats, nice huh, & then 3 are fabric ones).
Also, I want to go through the toyroom sometime soon. The boys' hockey bags are still in there & need to get stashed away. I want to go through the insane amount of toys that are in there. Some of them (broken, lost, whatever) will get tossed, but some will go to my mother in law's. I have taken some other toys over there, things the boys weren't playing with anymore. They play with them at grandma's now, & my brother in law has moved closer to home (4.5 hours away, instead of 10), so they come home more often now. They have an almost 2 year old & are trying again, so they are able to play with the stuff too.
After I finish the downstairs & the toyroom, I'm hoping to start on the upstairs. I need to go through the boys'clothes & get rid of the too small stuff (Ryden wore some flood pants the other day, skintight too, LOL), start pulling out their shorts & summer stuff, that kind of thing. Our room needs an overhaul too. Garth had pulled the wall down a couple months ago to reinsulate, so now we need to drywall. Then I would LOVE to finally paint it! Get things sorted out, clear out a couple boxes that are still in the closet, etc.
So there's my spring cleaning list!! Hopefully I will it all down by the end of April (my goal). Then May I can work on some other projects around the house (cabinet doors, painting the toyroom, etc). Off to do more laundry :D

Finally Caught Up, A Little Bit!
Well, in my last blog, I caught you all up on the what has been going on. Now, here is what we will be doing in the next couple weeks! Hang on, it's crazy!!
March 28 (yesterday) ~ Head out of town for some early anniversary celebrations/shopping (be shocked people, I only spent $19.76 in Wal-Mart. Garth couldn't believe it either!).
March 29 ~ My "neice's" birthday party at the bowling alley. The boys had a blast!
March 30 ~ Garth & I's 7th wedding anniversary. We are going out for supper with the boys & his parents (YAY no cooking!). Garth is also working a day shift for the first time in 3 months!! I also want to really deep clean the house, since I was really sick a couple weeks ago & got super far behind in that department, hehe.
March 31 ~ A quiet day! Hopefully finish up cleaning, then start decorating for Easter! YAY!
April 3~ My "neice's" actual birthday. She is coming over for cupcakes with her mom & sister & baby brother.
April 4 ~ Trade Fair/Rodeo, I will be talking the boys & Anson's buddy Parker to the Trade Fair for the afternoon.
April 5 ~ Going to the city with Reanna (neighbor) & our 4 kids (this is Parker's mom BTW).
April 10 ~ Good Friday, the start of Easter break (which means the boys are home for an entire week!). Garth's brother & his family come in for Easter.
April 11 ~ The boys' family birthday party! We will order in pizza, have cake & hang out with Garth's family. Might stay at his parents so the Easter Bunny can come for the 3 boys.
April 12 ~ Easter Sunday, will most likely spend most if not all day at Garth's parents.
April 13 ~ Ryden's 5th Birthday! Not sure when we are having his party (possibly the week after).
April 14 ~ Anson's 7th Birthday! Because we had his party in March, we told him he could have a couple friends sleep over, so it will be Anson, Parker, Ethan & Tyse hanging out here!
Wow, huh? I also hope to get some scrapbooking done during all this time. I have almost finished scrapping 2002, which thrills me to no end! That is a HUGE step to me. I have also been making cards. I made a New Year's Resolution that I would only use homemade cards this year & so far, so good. I have even sold 3! I made $5 off them as well, & was quite impressed with myself!
Another thing I want to do? I would like to make some type of Easter placecards/treats/favors (be it a basket with names on it filled with candies, or placecards & then something to go with them, whatever) for everyone who will be at Easter supper. So I need to search for ideas, get that done.
And there you have it! What I'll be up to for the next couple weeks! Oh, & I did forget a big one. UPDATE MY BLOG! Maybe even on a semi regular basis? One can hope, lol!

Welcome Back...
Uh, yeah. Kind of fell off the blogging bandwagon, didn't I? Sorry about that! With Christmas, and hockey, well, time has gone so quickly, and all of a sudden my 7 year anniversary is tomorrow, & the boys will be 5 & 7 in 2 weeks. Shocking isn't it?? Here is a quick summary of the past 4 months!
Christmas was great! The boys (and us!) were spoiled rotten. Except for my poor father in law with the flu, it was a great couple of days. Garth's mom spent Christmas Eve at the house with us, and Garth's dad came over first thing in the morning, feeling a little bit better. The next day, we went to Bigger to see my mom, stepdad, sister, aunt, cousins, & and grandpa. We also stopped to see my other grandparents in Saskatoon. All in 24 hours no less!! It was good to see everyone, & to celebrate my Papa's birthday with him (Dec 27).
New Years we spent at some friends of ours. The boys had a BLAST playing with their friends, & staying up until after 1am!! We were lucky & they let us sleep in the next day until 11. It was nice!
After that, hockey kept us hopping! There were tournaments just about every weekend, and if we didn't have a tournament, Anson would have a game, after practice. And then sometimes a game on Sunday as well! The season ended this past Friday night, with the TMHA Awards Banquet. We had a fabulous catered supper, the boys got some great goodies (they both got certificates for playing on the Initiation team, & personalized waterbottles, and Anson got a penant from Novice, with all the kid's names on it, & a scrapbook that includes all the newspaper clippings & some pictures from the year), and they had a blast playing with their hockey pals!
We did have some sad news a month ago. A close friend/neighbor passed away. Not going into details, but it's been pretty rough. It was Anson's hockey coach (and he had been for the past 3 years), and the father of Anson's best friend. That has kept us busy as well. We've been down the street quite a bit, just hanging out & keeping them company.
We have already celebrated Anson's 7th birthday. Last weekend, we rented the ice for 21 little munchkins to play hockey! They all absolutely had a BLAST. We got many "party of the year"comments, which was great! We didn't make it long enough however. It started at 4, and the kids were on the ice until 5:30. The party ended at 6! So we had cake as parents showed up, then Anson opened his presents at home with his best friend, & we ordered in pizza for supper. All in all, it was a great day, Anson got spoiled, & he had a fabulous party!
So, now that I've caught you up, I will end this mini novel & let you all what is going on in the next couple weeks coming up! Welcome back everyone :D
